Commencement at Aquinas College

Here are the most important dates and tasks for the 2023 Commencement Ceremony.

□ Order regalia

Order your cap, gown, hood, and tassel from Herff Jones by March 3 for shipping to campus for pickup at GradFest. You are required to wear cap, gown, hood, and tassel at Commencement.

□ Submit the 2023 Graduation Legacy survey

Complete the Graduation Legacy Survey here by March 31.

□ Attend GradFest to pick up regalia and tickets

Cap and gown orders shipped to campus will be available for pickup at GradFest on April 17, 2023 from noon-2 p.m. or 5-7 p.m. in the Wege Ballroom.

□ Submit the name pronunciation form

Please tell us how your name should be pronounced at commencement by completing this Name Pronunciation Form by April 30.

□ Complete and return special accommodation form

Fill out the Accommodation Request Form for your guests by April 17 if you have a guest who needs special accommodations at the ceremony.

□ Submit thank-you messages

Submit a thank-you message to family, friends, mentors, faculty, coaches or others by April 30. Messages will be displayed on the video screen at Commencement. 

□ Update permanent address with Registrar's Office

Provide the Registrar’s Office with your updated address prior to leaving AQ by sending it to Shannon Pelton at slm005@aquinas.edu. This can happen by May 10.

□ Pre-register with GradImages for graduation photos

When you pre-register for graduation photos prior to May 13, you will automatically receive a coupon code for 20% off your purchase of $50 or more. Add your friends' and families' email addresses and they'll save 20% on your photos, too. Plus, they'll receive a link to view your photos. Submit your information early and rest assured knowing that your proofs will be sent to you as soon as they're available after the event.

□ Complete exit loan counseling

If you have borrowed a Federal Loan while attending Aquinas, you must complete an exit counseling session. Note: If you are graduating in May, but student teaching in the fall, you will have to complete exit counseling by the end of the fall semester. Visit https://studentaid.gov/ to complete exit counseling and learn about your loan servicer and repayment information.
