Updates from Aquinas College about COVID-19 are at aquinas.edu/coronavirus.  Updates on our plan for Fall 2020 are at aquinas.edu/saintstogether.

COVID-19

While many college and universities have closed their campus and moved to distance, remote, or online classes for the remainder of the semester, this also has implications for community-engaged outreach initiatives, projects, and classes.

At Aquinas College, we believe that the best way to reach out and engage with our community partners is to ask them how we can help to,

  1. Effectively respond to our partners' current (and future) volunteering needs
  2. Provide them with resources that are most needed,
  3. Aid community partners as they experience modification, changes and disruptions.

Community Partner Volunteer Needs Survey

As flexibility, communication, creativity, and an open mind are key to maintaining partnerships, Aquinas College created a Community Partner Volunteer Needs Survey for our community partners to gather information about their virtual volunteering needs.

Faculty Resources for Distance/Remote & Online Learning

Community engagement professionals can also support faculty in shifting their course plans. Some projects may be able to continue online or in a condensed format. Others may need to be postponed. The Remote Teaching Resources for Business Continuity Spreadsheet offers great resources for online, remote and distance teaching and learning as faculty continue to meet educational goals in a different context that benefits all students.
