Norbert J. Hruby Scholarship for Community Service/Volunteerism Application
It is essential that you read and understand all of the following information:
- Hard copy applications that are mailed or personally delivered to Aquinas College will not be accepted.
- It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure all required documents have been submitted.
- You will receive an automated confirmation email when your application has been successfully submitted.
- Applications will be sent to a selection committee and evaluated based upon your activity in community service/volunteerism, the clarity and content of your applicant’s statement, and the content/strength of your letters of recommendation.
- The Hruby Scholarship application is separate from the application to become a student at Aquinas College. If you have not already submitted an application to be admitted to the College itself, please apply now.
- Contact the Financial Aid Office at (616) 632-2893 or financialaid@aquinas.edu to inquire about other possible sources of financial assistance.
To ensure your application is complete, upload the following 4 documents when you press submit:
- Your service/volunteerism experience table
- Your applicant’s statement
- Two (2) letters of recommendation from individuals who can comment on your community service/volunteerism activities. (Do not submit more than two recommendation letters. Additional letters will be discarded.)
Important Dates:
- Your application must be received by 4 p.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2022. This is a firm due date/time. Remember, documents may not be emailed separately. They must be uploaded into the form and submitted at the same time. Please refer to the directions listed at the top of the page.
- Results will be emailed to you by 5 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2022.
