Below are maps of the Foster Planet Walk. The circles you see represent the orbit of each planet and each blue pin on the map is one of the planets on campus. The first map shows the planets with the entire campus in view, while the second shows a closer view of the four inner planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars.

Did you know!

Did you know that a year is different on each planet? Here on Earth, we record a year as one revolution around the sun. For other planets, this happens more quickly if they are closer to the sun, or it takes longer if they are farther away. For example, Mercury completes its orbit around the sun in just 88 days, while Neptune completes its orbit every 165 years.
