We will be awardingtwo $1,000 scholarships to two Aquinas College students for the Fall semester of 2020. Please submit completed application along with a copy of academic transcripts, a signed and dated description/statement of your Polish heritage, and a letter of recommendation to: Aquinas College - 1700 Fulton street E, Grand Rapids MI 49506.

Gilman International Scholarship Program

Studying abroad can be a life-changing experience! The Gilman Scholarship Program provides up to $5,000 (or $8,000 including the Critical Need Language Award) for undergraduate students who are U.S. citizens and Federal Pell Grant recipients at two-year or four-year institutions. The Gilman-McCain Scholarship provides awards of $5,000 and is also now available for child dependents of active duty military personnel who receive any type of Title IV Federal Financial Aid to study or intern abroad.

The March 2020 Deadline applicationisfor students whose programs that start between May 1, 2020 to April 30, 2021.
Please be aware that the application and advisor certification deadlines are inPacific Timeand take into consideration any time difference as students prepare to submit their applications.
The March 2020 Deadline application encompasses programs during the followingterms:

  • Summer 2020
  • Fall 2020
  • Academic Year 2020-2021
  • Winter 2021
  • Spring 2021

All applicants are notified of their status via email. All advisors will also be notified of scholarship recipients via email, and will have access to the status of each student in theirGilman Advisor account.

Avomeen is offering 2 scholarship opportunities annually to students pursuing an undergraduate degree in a STEM discipline.

Women in STEM (1 scholarship: $2,500)

Minorities in STEM (1 scholarship: $2,500)

Students can apply via the Avomeen websitehere. Scholarship applications will be judged on two factors:

  1. A written statement (200 words or less) on why the applicant has chosen to pursue a degree in STEM
    1. For the Women in STEM scholarship, the applicant should include information about organizations they’ve been a part of and/or what they’re done in their community to support and promote female leadership
    2. For the Minorities in STEM scholarship, applicants should include information about organizations they’ve been a part of and/or what they’ve done in their community to support and promote minority leadership
  2. Eligibility requirements, which include:
    1. Pursuing an undergraduate education at a US-based college or university for both scholarships; and
    2. For the Women in STEM scholarship, the applicant must identify as a woman
    3. For the Minorities in STEM scholarship, the applicant must identify as a minority

We’re accepting applications from October 1-April 1, and winners will be notified by May 1. GRAND RAPIDS COMBINED THEATRE SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is available to students pursuing study in theatre arts at any college / university located within the United States. Scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $2,000 are awarded annually to individuals who, by their own contribution to theatre, have demonstrated ability, talent and dedication to theatre arts. The decision made by the panel of judges shall be final and based on the information contained in the application, attached documentation and/or the interview. Recipients will be notified in May. This is an annual competitive award, and previous recipients must reapply each year. WILLAM D. & JEWELL BREWER SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is available to only Michigan residents who are attending high school or college--and who have not earned abachelor's degree yet. The scholarship award amount is $500 and is not renewable. To apply, you must be a son, daugher, grandchild or great-grandchild of a war-time veteran planning to or are attending any nationally accredited college, university or trade school. Selection is based on a student's G.P.A. of 2.5 or higher, financial need, parent's or grandparent's honorable active war-time military service, goals and intentions.For moreinformation and to apply on line, please go to: http://michiganlegion.org/brewer/. GUY WILSON SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is available to Michigan residents who are high school seniors. The scholarship award amount is $500 and is not renewable. To apply, you must be a son, daughter, grandchild or great-grandchild of a war-time veteran planning to attend any Michigan accredited college, university or trade school in the Fall of 2020. Selection is based on a student's G.P.A. of 2.5 or higher, financial need, parent's or grandparent's honorable active war-time military service, goals and intentions. HUTT SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship honors the legacy of Lloyd F. Hutt - teacher and founder of Lake Michigan Credit Union (LMCU). Each year,LMCU offers fifteen high school seniors the opportunity to submit an essay for the chance to earn $2,000 through the Hutt Scholarship. Founded in 1990, the Hutt Scholarship is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year! The Fremont Area Community Foundation has scholarships available for Adult students who reside in Newaygo County, MI or areresidents of a Newaygo County-based school district. For purposes of scholarship awards, the Community Foundation defines adult students as individuals who have been out ofhigh school for at least two years and/or have a gap in their postsecondary education.
