Scholarships

Spectrum Scholarships: This scholarship program singles out worthy incoming traditional-aged undergraduate students and honors them for their academic and leadership achievements.

Outside Scholarships: Learn about non-Aquinas scholarships you may be eligible for. Application information and deadlines are available online and at the Financial Aid Office located in Hruby Hall, Lower Level, Room 34.

Grants

Federal Grants: Federal Grants assist eligible students as determined by federal need analysis guidelines
Federal TEACH Grant: A federal grant is available for Education students who plan to teach full-time in high-need subject areas at low-income schools.
Michigan Aid Programs: For Michigan residents.

Other Assistance

Federal Work Study/Employment: Aquinas students often seek employment on campus to help defray their expenses. Information for on campus jobs for students is available through the Human Resources Office. Students who qualify will be paid through the Federal Work Study program
Veterans Administration Benefits: The Veterans Administration administers certain basic programs for eligible veterans, service persons, reservists, and dependents of veterans seeking assistance for education.
Vocational Rehabilitation: The Department of Public Instruction, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, provides services and financial assistance for education to students with certain disabilities. Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)

Per federal regulations institutions must monitor the academic progress of financial aid recipients.
Aquinas’s SAP policy is to provide financial aid to students capable of remaining in good academic standing and who make adequate progress toward a degree
A student’s financial aid eligibility is reviewed each semester. For more information on the policy, please see the SAP policy requirements in the FA Handbook.
If a student becomes ineligible for financial aid, they may appeal their SAP standing in writing to the Financial Aid Office, by the deadline listed on their notification letter. Please refer to the SAP policy requirements in the FA Handbook for details.
