She also served in the Office of Residence Life at Miami University in Ohio.

Alicia holds a Master of Education in Adult and Higher Education-College Student Affairs Leadership and a Bachelor of Science in Advertising/Public Relations, both from GVSU.

“We’re very pleased to have someone of Alicia’s talent and experience lead such an important facet of the college,” said Kevin Quinn, president of Aquinas College. “Community is one of our four college pillars and a cornerstone of that community is a culture of diversity and inclusiveness; Alicia will help us build that common vision.”

The director for the Center of Diversity, Inclusion and Equity also serves as Title IX coordinator and is responsible for related compliance, education and reporting. The position has been added to the President's Cabinet and is a special advisor to the president on establishing strategic direction for diversity initiatives across campus.

The Center for Diversity and Inclusion was started five years ago and has recently gone through expansion and been renamed the Center for Diversity, Inclusion and Equity. Part of that expansion includes the hiring of a second full-time employee.
