Peer Tutoring
Welcome to Peer Tutoring Services!
We're ready and happy to assist you in your academic goals! Content tutoring happens in a variety of formats, including:
- One-on-one
- Content Drop-in
- Course Content Session
- Embedded
To request a tutor, please click on the button below, "Request a Content Tutor." This will direct you to a request form for a content tutor. Once we receive your request, we will begin to match you up with a qualified tutor. Assigning a content tutor may take up to ten working days. Once the match-up is made, the time for tutoring sessions is arranged between the content tutor and student.
Content tutors are not guaranteed for courses that offer content drop-in tutoring or course content sessions.
The available content drop-in tutoring and course content sessions are listed in the Content Drop-In and Course Content Session Schedule.
All one-on-one tutoring occurs in the Grace Hauenstein Library.
Content tutors meet with students to:
- Examine student learning strategies
- Review information
- Discuss content of reading assignments
- Work through examples of homework problems
- Conduct exam preparation
Content tutors have excellent academic records, are trained in tutoring techniques, and are always recommended by faculty to assure reliable assistance.

Become a Content Tutor
A Content Tutor within CORE connects with students through one-on-one, small or large group tutoring, and drop-in tutoring. Content Tutors serve as a bridge between the student and the professor, and they meet with students on a weekly basis to assist in clarifying class-specific concepts, sharing effective study and note-taking strategies, and preparing students for upcoming tests.
Students interested in becoming a Content Tutor should contact Peer Tutoring at peertutoring@aquinas.edu
