Why Study Catholic Studies?

The mission of Catholic Studies is to share "the rich experience of the Church's own culture," assist students in their spiritual as well as their intellectual development, and establish Aquinas College as the regional center for Catholic intellectual and creative life (Ex Corde Ecclesiae, § 43).

Students in of the Catholic Studies Department will graduate with a broad knowledge of the history of Christianity, the spirit of the Catholic vision and tradition, the Catholic imagination in literature, and the Catholic intellectual tradition. Students will have extensive opportunities for spiritual development.
