  • Start or finish your degree. Started a degree years ago and never finished? We can help you pick up where you left off and apply existing credits. Starting fresh? We’re ready to help with that, too. Either way, we're here for the journey.
  • Learn 24/7, anytime, anywhere. Your education should fit your schedule. With asynchronous courses, there are no set class times. Log in and study whenever it suits you best. No commute. No campus parking. Take your courses from the comfort of your own home, a coffee shop, or anywhere with an Internet connection.
  • Get the attention you deserve. Our online students receive the same care and attention as our in-person students. Our professors and staff know who you are and support you individually.
  • Advance your career. The skills and competencies in this curriculum align with what today's employers actively seek. Those skills will help you move forward professionally, not just academically.
  • Benefit from experience you can trust. For decades, Aquinas has supported students of all ages, backgrounds, and life circumstances. We understand what working adults need to succeed academically, and we’ve built our program around exactly that.

Your path forward

No matter your starting point, we’re eager to welcome you to Aquinas and support you. Here's how to move forward.

  • Submit your application and transcripts. Complete the online application form entitled "Continuing Education (Adult Student) Application." If you have prior college credits, submit your transcripts, too. We’ll evaluate them and tell you exactly how many transfer toward your degree. You may also be eligible to earn academic credit for learning gained outside the classroom through work, service, and life experience by submitting a Credit for Prior Learning form
  • Build your plan. An advisor will reach out to learn about you and your goals. That advisor will then walk you through your options, answer any questions, and help map out a course plan that fits around your work schedule, family obligations, and personal goals.
  • Start learning. Log in to your courses on your schedule. Your professors and support team are with you every step of the way.

This program is specifically designed for working adults, including people who started a bachelor's degree years ago and never finished, as well as those starting from scratch. If you have a full-time job, family responsibilities, or a busy life, this flexible online program is built around your reality, not a traditional campus schedule.

Asynchronous means there are no required live class times. You access all course materials, lectures, discussions, and assignments on your own schedule, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can study early in the morning before work, late at night after the kids are asleep, or over the weekend. You set the rhythm.

Yes. If you previously attended college and earned credits, many of them may be transferable. Our advisors will review your official transcripts and help you maximize the credit you’ve already earned so that you can graduate faster and more affordably. To get an idea of how your credits will transfer, check out the Michigan Transfer Agreement or the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning Credit Predictor.

Yes, Aquinas recognizes that learning happens beyond the classroom and gives you a transparent pathway to turn that experience into academic credit. If you've gained college-level knowledge through work, military, or life experience, you may qualify for Credit for Prior Learning.

You’re never just a number at Aquinas, whether you’re taking classes online or in person. Our instructors know their students, provide personalized feedback, and offer genuine support. That’s a meaningful difference from many large online programs. You’ll also have full access to academic resources, like the Writing Center, with the same level of support provided to both online and in-person students.

Yes! You are welcome to take in-person classes on the Aquinas campus as part of this degree program. As an adult learner, you’ll pay the Continuing Education tuition rate whether your courses are online or on campus.

A bachelor’s degree continues to be one of the most impactful credentials for career advancement. Many employers require or strongly prefer a degree for promotions and higher-level roles. Beyond credentials, the critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills you develop are exactly what employers across industries are looking for today, especially in this era of AI.

You can move through the program at a pace that fits your life. How long it takes depends on the number of transfer credits you bring in and how many courses you take each term. An academic advisor will help you create a plan and timeline for graduation.

You'll need a reliable internet connection and a computer or tablet. Our learning management system is user-friendly and compatible with most modern devices.
