Aquinas College is pleased to announce the appointment of Scott Travis as its new Vice President for Institutional Advancement. Mr. Travis brings a wealth of experience in advancement operations, alumni relations, and strategic planning to this crucial leadership role.

Proven Leadership in Advancement

Mr. Travis joins Aquinas College from Hope College, where he served most recently as Director of Strategy and Planning. Throughout his 18-year tenure at Hope College, Mr. Travis held leadership positions in alumni and family engagement, including serving as Executive Director. His demonstrated success includes:

  • Guiding a team in annual giving, communication, and alumni relations to create meaningful connections and increased philanthropic support.
  • Introducing new annual giving approaches such as crowdfunding and giving days to foster a culture of philanthropy.
  • Working with external boards and councils to facilitate strategic planning and increase community engagement.
  • Partnering across campus to connect constituents with lifelong learning and career development opportunities.

As Vice President for Institutional Advancement, Mr. Travis will lead the development of philanthropic relationships and connections with alumni and community partners. He will be instrumental in crafting an impactful strategy, building a dynamic team, and effectively securing support to make Aquinas a premier Catholic college in the Midwest.

Mr. Travis holds a bachelor's degree from Hope College and an MBA from Grand Valley State University and is enthusiastic about joining an inclusive educational community rooted in the Catholic and Dominican tradition.
