"Mother and Daughter: A Creative Approach to the Grieving Process"

Writer and performer Teresa Thome will talk about the topic of grief and how she used journaling to grieve her mother’s death. Thome turned her journal entries into a monologue, which she will also perform.

About Teresa Thome
Teresa L. Thome, a native of Grand Rapids is a Co-founder and Managing Partner of Fubble Entertainment developing “contemporary media with a nostalgic appeal”. In fall 2011, Fubble launched the web series, Backstage Drama (backstagedrama.com) as a fundraiser for community theaters locally and nationally. She and business partner, Patrick Ziegler served as co-writers, directors and producers on the project. Prior to that she served as President of Enthusiastic Productions and as Executive Producer of the children’s television show, Come On Over! Thome received a regional Emmy, two National Telly Awards and a national daytime Emmy nomination for her work on the children’s television show currently being distributed in the Christian Market. While at EP! Thome spearheaded efforts to raise nearly $2million in capital investment to produce 23 episodes and assisted in the formation of a partnership with Four Boys Entertainment (Patricia Heaton and David Hunt). Thome serves as Executive Vice Chair of the Downtown Improvement District Board and is a member of the Endorsement Council for the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts. She is a current talent committee member for LaughFest and a volunteer on the Martin Short/Kevin Nealon/Alan Zweibel event. She is a member of the American Association of Community Theatres and the West Michigan Film and Video Alliance.
