GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. – Aquinas College is set to be the first area college to welcome students back on campus this Thursday, and this year’s official greeter is none other than incoming president Dr. Juan Olivarez, who is scheduled to assist students moving into campus residences from 8 to 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 18.

All incoming freshman will descend on Aquinas College’s campus starting at 8 a.m. on the 18th and continue moving in throughout the day. The move in schedule is part of a three day Orientation Week that gets freshmen acclimated to their new surroundings.

"I’m looking forward to helping our students move in and adjust to campus life," said Aquinas College president Dr. Juan Olivarez, who is expected to help move students into St. Joseph Hall, which is where he resided when attending Aquinas. "There are so many memories associated with moving in, so I’m excited to reminisce and share memories and get to know our freshman and their families!"
