Students on MLK march

(Grand Rapids, Mich.) - Aquinas College will host a pair of annual events in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, which falls on Monday, January 19, 2015. The public is invited to take part in these free events.

MLK Day Blood Drive
Monday, January 19 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: Wege Center Ballroom, 1607 Robinson Rd SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506
Held in collaboration with Michigan Blood, the annual MLK Blood Drive is an opportunity to increase access to potentially life-saving medical care. In 2014, more than 75 pints of blood were donated at this event.

MLK Social Justice March
Monday, January 19 at 3 p.m.
Where: Meet at Wege Center Mall, 1607 Robinson Rd SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506
Aquinas students, staff and faculty will come together to collectively express support and advocacy for social justice. This annual march honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and acknowledges the sacrifices and contributions people of all backgrounds have made towards freedom and equality for all.
