Grand Rapids, Michigan (August 22, 2008) - The record-setting incoming freshmen class of Aquinas College will participate in the 15th Annual Project Unite on Friday, August 22, 2008 at Union High School and Westwood Middle Campus in Grand Rapids. The event, which will run from 9:15 a.m. to 1 p.m., is aimed at revitalizing the downtown public schools.

Project Unite, an annual event held during freshmen orientation at Aquinas, highlights the College’s focus on service, as students clean, paint and repair a community school and surrounding area.

For the fourth consecutive year, Aquinas College will welcome a record number of freshmen to campus for the 2008 fall semester. The 510 incoming freshmen surpasses last year's record of 440 students, while the addition of more than 70 transfer students brings the total new student enrollment to more than 580 students.
