GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN (September 15, 2009) - As part of the Aquinas College Corporate Partners luncheon program, Chris Bunbury, President of environmental Strategist, Inc. (ESI) and Environmental Risk Managers, Inc. (ERMI), will speak on September 17 at the Aquinas College Donnelly Center, 157 Woodward Lane, in Grand Rapids. The luncheon and program will be held at noon and is free and open to the public.

Bunbury believes business growth and profits are driven by environmental management strategy. Firms cannot remain in business, he notes, without being impacted by environmental issues, exposures, liabilities and investments. In today's transparent business environment, Bunbury argues that a company’s understanding of environmental strategies is essential to a competitive advantage.

In 1988, Bunbury began his environmental risk management career, assisting a wide spectrum of clients, including Los Alamos, Hanford, Oak Ridge and Rocky Flats nuclear facilities. Bunbury also has worked with disaster relief efforts associated with the forensic disposal of the World Trade Center and Hurricane Katrina. He continues to work, bringing environmental awareness to environmental engineers, remediation contractors, agricultural operations, real estate developers, manufacturers, municipalities and contractors. Bunbury even counsels a golf course that hosts one of professional golf's major tournaments.

The luncheon program is being underwritten by Varnum, a leading Michigan law firm that provides a broad range of legal services to individuals, businesses and institutions throughout Michigan and the Midwest.
