GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN (February 2, 2004) - Aquinas College Students for Life present Monsignor James Lisante, pastor of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in West Hampstead, Long Island, New York and former director of The Christophers, on Thursday, April 29 at 12:30 p.m. The event will be held in the Aquinas College Performing Arts Center, 1703 Robinson Road, S.E. Msgr. Lisante's talk, "Defending Life In Death-Defying Times" (A look at sex and the issues of life and death), will address will include sexual ethics, abortion, assisted suicide, capital punishment and any other life issues of interest to those attending. A question and answer period will follow. He is the author of Personally Speaking and Celebrating our Catholic Values and Ideas and has been honored by the Catholic Press Association for his column, "These Times." A frequent spokesperson for the Church, he has appeared on "Nightline," "The Phil Donohue show," MSNBC, ABC and NBC News. He also hosted the television program "Personally Speaking."
