Student Senate at Aquinas College
About Student Senate:
The Aquinas College Student Senate, was implemented to fairly represent the diverse views, needs, and expectations of our student body in a Catholic Christian environment. The Senate represents the voice of the students, who act as a liaison between students and upper administration. Senators actively seek out opportunities to engage with their constituents and attend campus events, in order to better understand concerns and ideas present among the student body.
The Senate is seated with active members of the Aquinas College student body. It is structured by the Executive Board: Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Budget Director, and Academic Affairs Director. Alongside the Executive Board, are Senators, who hold twelve seats which are represented by three students from each class.
Throughout the academic calendar year, the Senate meets twice a month in an open session to discuss updates and concerns alike. Elections for Senators are held in September of each year.
