What's inside Sturrus Sports & Fitness Center?
Coach Bo Court / Gymnasium
Having a capacity of 2,000 people, “Coach Bo Court” is our home for basketball, volleyball, and dance competitions. It is named in honor of former athletic director and coach Terry Bocian who retired from Aquinas after 43 years of service and is in the Aquinas Hall of Fame.
Alksnis Athletics & Recreation Building
Our 70,000-square-foot indoor athletic facility includes a 200-meter NCAA-certified track and a turf infield with a portable court for use by club and varsity teams. It is used for competitions and practices year round.
AQ Fitness Center
The fitness center overlooks Coach Bo Court and provides a great view outside its windows. Recently renovated, the Fitness Center offers the Aquinas community a place to exercise, along with space for learning.
Labs and Classrooms
Beyond our shared athletic facilities, Kinesiology students have excellent learning facilities in Sturrus including an exercise physiology lab, academic classrooms, grouip exercise room, and yoga studio.
