Education
The School of Education at Aquinas College was awarded national accreditation for
its initial preparation educator programs in Spring 2025 by the Council for the Accreditation
of Educator Preparation (CAEP). CAEP teacher preparation standards are rigorous, nationally recognized, and developed
to ensure excellence in educator preparation programs. Accreditation is effective
from 2025-2027.
Music
Aquinas College is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM)
Nursing
The University of Detroit Mercy (UDM) offers a 4-year baccalaureate program in nursing at Aquinas College. This unique partnership with Aquinas College and Mercy Health Saint Mary's provides the opportunity to complete liberal arts and supportive coursework at Aquinas taught by Aquinas faculty. All nursing coursework is taught by UDM faculty. Students gain hands-on clinical experience at Trinity Health Grand Rapids and other facilities throughout West Michigan. Students graduate with a BSN from UDM. The baccalaureate program at the University of Detroit Mercy is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, One Dupont Circle, NW, Suite 530, Washington, DC 20036, (202) 887-6791.
Aquinas College has been approved to participate in the National Council for State
Authorization Reciprocity Agreements.
Aquinas College has maintained accreditation through the Higher Learning Commission since 1946.
