A nursing skills lab is located at Trinity Health Grand Rapids Hospital dedicated for use by the nursing students in our program. The lab is equipped with current hospital equipment and instruments and features mannequins for students to practice on. We also have a state-of-the-art simulation lab located at Trinity Health Grand Rapids Hospital, with infant, pediatric and adult simulation mannequins. The simulation lab mimics patient rooms on a medical unit, an emergency room, and an operating room. The simulation lab is also equipped with recording equipment so that students not involved directly in the simulation itself can participate via video.
The clinical supervision ratio is one faculty member supervisor for every six to eight students,
allowing individualized attention for each student.
