Aquinas Alumna, Marisa Fernando (1994) has been has been working for many years with development in her native Sri Lanka. Since the Tsunami she has been deeply involved raising money to rebuild cooperative industries that were badly damaged or destroyed during the Tsunami. Fifty-six of the women that Fernando worked with over the years were killed and many hundreds more have lost family members, homes, possessions and their livelihood.

If you would like to help Fernanado and all of those working with her to rebuild Sri Lanka with a donation, please send your donation to Mary Clark-Kaiser, Director of Campus Ministry, Aquinas College, 1607 Robinson Road SE, Grand Rapids, Michigan 4956-1799.

To begin the process we are having a benefit on campus to aide Marisa in her work. The events are open to all of the Grand Rapids community.
