(Grand Rapids, Mich.) - Aquinas College will host a series of free, public events as a part of its celebration of the Christmas season.

Christmas Tree Lighting
Wednesday, December 3 at 6 p.m.
Where: Holmdene Lawn, 1607 Robinson Road S.E.
Join the Aquinas community for the annual lighting of the campus Christmas tree. The tree was planted in 2010 by the Student Senate to reflect the students’ and Aquinas’ commitment to a sustainable campus. The event will feature a blessing for the advent season for the entire Aquinas community by Aquinas Chaplain Fr. Stan Drongowski.

A Service of Lessons and Carols
Sunday, December 7 at 5 p.m.
Where: St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1449 Wilcox Park Drive S.E.
This performance will tell the story of the Jesus’ birth through scripture and song. The Aquinas College chorus, chamber choir and women’s chorus are joined by readers from Aquinas in this annual, music filled prayer service.

Christmas Collage Concert
Sunday, December 14 at 3 p.m.
Where: Performing Arts Center, 1703 Robinson Road S.E.
Presented by the Aquinas music department, this annual concert will include performances by all of the Aquinas College ensembles, as well as several sing-alongs. Christmas cookies and other refreshments will be provided following the performance.
