GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan, (November 16, 2001) Aquinas College Music Department will be hosting three upcoming concerts. On Thursday, November 29, the Fall Jazz Night will take place at 7:30 p.m. in Kretschmer Recital Hall, Aquinas College Art and Music Center. On Thursday, December 6 the Percussion Group Concert will perform at 7:30 p.m. in Aquinas College Art and Music Center, Room 113 with a reception following. The Holiday Collage Concert will be on Sunday, December 9, at 4:00 p.m. in Kretschmer Recital Hall, Aquinas College Art and Music Center.

The Fall Jazz Night will feature the Colleges' Jazz Combo and Jazz Band directed by Dr. Paul Brewer, Associate Professor of Music, Aquinas College, and a Vocal Jazz Ensemble directed by Steve Talaga, Adjunct Assistant Professor of Music, Aquinas College. These groups will perform everything from the "Golden Oldies" to the most up-to-date compositions and arrangements. There will be something for everybody.

The Percussion Group Concert is directed by Rupert Kettle and will be performing a variety of music which includes "Alternate Stickin' Parade", by Tatsushi Muramatsu; Lou Harrison's "Bomba"; and "Blue Rhythm Quintet", by Anthony Korf and many more. A highlight of the program will be "Kurtspiel", a conceptual/improvisational piece by Kurt Kaiser, Aquinas College Art Department Chairman, and the Percussion Group.
