Third Annual High School Leaders Conference motivates students to prepare for success
in college and the world of business, Wednesday, March 2 at Aquinas College in Grand

GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN (February 28, 2005) - The Michigan Association of Certified
Public Accountants (MACPA) presents Michigan high school students with information
and inspiration to become tomorrow's business leaders. More than 120 participants
are slated to attend the MACPA High School Leaders Conference at Aquinas College.
The Conference is on Wednesday, March 2 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Wege Student
Center Ballroom.
This is a day-long event for students, teachers, principals and counselors from across western Michigan. Because many CPAs say they made their career choice in high school, this insightful Conference provides students and educators with an accurate and realistic representation of what the profession is all about. From hunting down corporate fraud for the FBI to handling big deals in Hollywood, the CPA profession offers a myriad of opportunities for aspiring professionals. There is no charge for the Conference. Teachers can bring up to eight college-bound students.
Worldwide competition demands that high school students be exposed to the ever-changing world of business. At the MACPA High School Leaders Conference, local CPAs and other business leaders will provide students with information about the world of business and accounting that will help guide them as they make choices on their academic paths leading to a chosen profession.
